Seminars
The Institute has played an active part in organizing seminars and conferences on important policy oriented issues. These have been organized in Delhi as well as in other parts of the country and have been sponsored by different ministries of Government of India, State Governments, international and other agencies. All the seminars and conferences have been well attended with right mix of participation from government, academic institutions and NGOs depending upon the context. All the seminars and conferences organized by the Institute have come forward with recommendations which have been adjudged very useful. The list of such seminars/conferences including the very famous International Conference on Sustainable Development of Water Resources held in November 2000 is given below.
- A Workshop on "New Approach to Management of Water Resources in India" Sponsored by: Department of Science& Technology, Government of India, held at New Delhi on 16th March 2007.
- Two days Workshop on "Water for Survival and Growth" for Secondary Level School Students of Government of NCT of Delhi during 24-25 February, 2007. This workshop was sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
- National Workshop on Community Approach to Flood Management in India sponsored by World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Geneva and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India, held at India International Centre in Delhi on November 28 and 29, 2005.
- Workshop on Strengthening of Flood Management Infrastructure in India sponsored by India Water Partnership, GWP-South Asia held at Central Water Commission, New Delhi on May 4, 2005.
- Dialogue Workshop on Dams and Development sponsored by India Water Partnership on behalf of GWP-SASTAC, held at Institute of Development Studies in Jaipur on March 2, 2005.
- Workshop on Municipal Solid Waste Management held at Institute premises in Delhi on September 17, 2003.
